Canon mx926 print head

Hi all I’m a new subscriber. I have had MX926 printers for many years and now need to replace the print head that I can’t find available anywhere at a reasonable cost. I have tried unsuccessfully to repair the old one with boilIng water so I disposed of it. Can anyone let me know if an mx922 print head or any other is compatible? Thank you

The QY6-0086 print head is used in many printers including the Canon MX922 and MX926, see this. So a print head for the MX922 is compatible with the MX926. It is actually the same printer, just for use in different regions of the World. Make sure that the new print head is marked QY6-0086. It is engraved in one of the sides. The engraving might be faint and difficult to see.

I don't know what the boiling water repair was, but installing a print head that is not completely dry after cleaning can ruin the logic board in the printer. A logic board damaged in this way can but does not always ruin a new print head. So replacing the print head is risky. You decide if you want to gamble.

Thank you PeterBJ. Really appreciate your help. With regard to the boiling water, I am not too technically minded so I asked the question on my iphone and followed a video in answer to the question. In addition the supplier of the printer was not much help. After your assistance I decided to buy a new printer- a Canon TR8660 which looks like it will do my work. Many thanks again
