Lol......and what about us ?
I mean our "profiteering" actions by re-filling on the cheap......or is that different ?

@marceltho, Yes different. We'll call you the knight in shining armor. Difficult part is finding which shining armor has a good looking knight inside since there are so many ugly ones. :)

You are right in regards to profiteering, but I believe it is ultimately a consumer issue. Once consumers figure out how expensive their inkjet really is, once they understand that their $50 printer requires cartridges that exceed the cost of the printer after a few photos and a few duplex documents, they should realize the importance of refillability.

Until the industry is forced by the market to change their strategy, refilling and maintaining your printer is your only option if you intent to print at reasonable costs.

I managed to print in pure pigment black in duplex mode by using the printab driver instead of the OEM ;)

All of them! LOL
I know of PrintFab a driver that will run pretty much any printer. It's only available for Mac but there is a Beta for Windows that will run for several months before you'll have to buy it.

Why you want to run your duplex sheets with pigment ink anyway.
Most if not all copy paper is so light that the show through would completely spoil your finished sheets,
so what would you gain by doing so..
:(
