Can you post the print you have of the squares out of alignment please ?
The use of non original ink can’t cause any print alignments to occur.

Since you have taken the printhead out of the printer several times you should do a "print head alignment". That may solve your problem with the squares.

Allright I did a manual print head alignment and it works like a charm now!

So I would advise you guys to create some stickies about:
-printhead cleaning: all the possible methods
-the pros and cons of refilling cartridges + how to refill
-the pros and cons of non-original ink

I’ve read through it all very carefully and came to just one conclusion.

If this is the sort of general help that’s doing the rounds then I’m surprised that there’s any Canon printer stilll left working at all, because frankly this information is a total disaster for any newbie to read and follow.
IMHO stick with this forum for the best truthful advice bar none..
