Hi guys, I am up to http etc gondack.com.ar/media/useruploads/files/ip4700-ssm.pdf and stuck at removing/separating the base where the inkpads are situated. I need to find more details now on how to proceed. Wish the pdf had the remaining pics. Will keep you all posted. By the way, I have a Chinese contact who can supply Canon printheads for about half price or less. Genuine Canon and very good.
You will almost certainly locate four screws that are loosely located in the corners. These will be holding the metal framework to the printer base.

One of them will likely be hidden from view by the power pack which is pretty easy to identify by wiggling the power cable (obviously NOT connected to the wall socket!) and seeing what moves. Removal usually involves identifying the retaining plastic clip and then sliding down and out.

If you want to take lots of pictures of the printer as you have it now and post them up, we might be able to identify likely places to look.
