after several years of success, no lights, no nothing. Power outlet was verified as live. Changed cords, nothing. Print carriage is locked into the park position

Did a search on the site and found that's happened to at least another.

Any resolution? I'm gonna pull the AC adapter and check it out, but it could be a deeper problem.

Service manual says "renew AC Adapter, renew Logic Board" OUCH!!

If you can, release the power supply itself and disconnect it from the internal wire/plug so the printer has no power source and/or capacitors still supplying residual power (Obviously without the external power cable plugged in!)

Leave it for a few minutes and then reconnect to internal wire/plug, reinsert power supply unit and reconnect to electric cable and socket.

This has been known to resurrect printers that showed this behaviour in the past, but isn't guaranteed to work...
