Can anyone explain why this dialog is missing columns C,F,H,I,K ? It is as if they just don't exist as far as this dialog is concerned.

But they do exist as far as the following is concerned:

Can the problems displayed with the nozzle check explain this as well?

Thank you for your help on this.

By the way, for reference, this is an example of what this printer is producing:

I agree with The Hat, you need a new print head. The bottom half of your cyan nozzles is not printing correctly and your photo magenta is not printing at all.

Please, can someone explain the inconsistency between these 2 images. That is 11 versus 6 sample colors (C,F,H,I,K missing in image 2)?

Are you saying that the missing 5 are caused by the same print head problem seen in the nozzle check?

Thank you very much for all your insight and experience.

I have ordered a new print head. Should have it within a week, I will report on results.

Thanks, again.

New print head installed.

After $125, No difference in anything, except nozzle check 6C does not show 2 bands anymore.

I have to ask the same question again:

Is there no way to explain why the alignment process only sees 6 of the 11 test items?

I still have the following issue - That is 11 versus 6 sample colors during the alignment process(C,F,H,I,K missing):

I am sorry that the new print head didnt solve the problem of the missing 5 print Alignment segments.
Going by the nozzle check you posted it was clear that the print head was damaged and
you were going to need a new one regardless of the missing Alignment segments.

First off I would suggest that you replace the cartridges that are showing low ink,
at least the photo magenta as it was not present in your last nozzle check.

Below is a sample of my nozzle check, the Alignment check settings and the Print head Alignment itself.

What I have noticed with your Alignment check setting it that all
of your current setting are printing correctly but the whole Alignment itself is not.

There are a number of reasons for this and you covered some of them yourself, i.e. changing to win XP to try a print in there.
The current driver that you are using is not showing all of the segments which could mean
the driver is the wrong one or it could simply be damaged, try replacing the USB cable also.

Try down loading the latest driver from Microsoft to see if that works (uninstall First)
or use the original one that came with the printer on the CD in Win XP.

But please replace those cartridges that are showing low before you do anymore printing
just to protect the new print head and post a nozzle check as soon as possible..
