As a first post after finding this board,
my opinion about leakage of HP tricolor is overfilling, puncturing the sieve/screen of the magenta colour (the others can hardly be punctured) and the use of wrong(too short) needles.

my Opinion is there is nothing like trapping air in the sponge. Sponge can have air in it anyway, read everything about that theme on my website.
