Proper quality business card board can only be purchased from paper wholesale suppliers, and high street stores don’t stock it because most desktop printers can’t feed it to print on, use any lighter board and laminate it to bring up the thickness..

Do you know some of the suppliers? I work in a shop that has a laser, Konica Minolta c368, which has a maximum weight of 300 gsm. Can it not print on the card type you described? And about photo card stocks, since it is photo type, my guess is that it is best to be printed on using an inkjet, Am I right? Thanks

Almost all photo papers for inkjet printers are polyethylene covered. If these papers are used in a laser printer the polyethylene layers will melt in the fuser and cause expensive damage. Never use photo papers for inkjet printers in a laser printer!

Are there inkjets that can handle more than 300 gsm? This page says the Epson SureColor P400 A3+ and Canon Pixma 10 can. However, they are wide format and I only need A4 or A3. I do not know if I can ask for CISS in this segment. I want the inkjets for textured and glossy card.

I probably will not need more than 300 gsm, because customers are not willing to pay for its high ink price, but it is good to know.

Staples, WalMart, and other "fine" office supply stores sell pre-perforated paper just for this purpose, using an Avery template for Word. I use this card stock from these suppliers all the time!

The papers are designated for either Inkjet or Laser printers. Choose wisely...

I do not think we can use pre-perforated paper. They are only for someone who does not have a card cutter. Thanks

I cannot detect the perforations, once separated, on high-quality products. I'd recommend you give it a try...the results are very satisfactory, IMO.
