Brother HL-L8260CDW - lines in printing

Hello!

I went to the Brother website for assistance with a problem, and couldn’t get anywhere. “put your model number below, and we…” We won’t do anything, because the website doesn’t respond.

My printer is leaving fine lines vertically through the entire page. I have cleaned the toner cartridges, and replaced the belt unit. I need good clean print for business cards and other things for my small business. Any suggestions??

Using a computer instead of a tablet, I was able to get past the link not responding. I found a detailed instruction on what to clean. I will perform those actions, and report back.
My only question - why would I HAVE to do all this on a printer that is used so seldom, that I haven’t even replaced a single toner cartridge!?

I performed the actions I mentioned above, and it worked, mostly. Still has the lines, but not as severe.

BUT

Did some needed printing yesterday, and while the original lines were minimal, there were some pages that had a 1/4" wide line the whole length of the page. I re-cleaned the corona wires and the drum unit. Test page is okay. Wish me luck!!
