I use a Canon S520 which I have sucessfully refilled many times. This is now on it's last legs and need to replace it with a printer only (not multi function) and if possible would prefer a Canon unless someone says otherwise.

Any recomendations please?

Canon IP3500 or IP4500 would suit your purpose if you can get hold of one (Try a Google search, or Ebay). Stay clear of the new Canons (smaller ink cartridges & no chip resetter available)

In Holland are the chipresetters available.

Also a bracket and special cartridges with chips to refill

You want a CLI-8 printer as stated except that they are mostly sold out at this time.
If you're in the US this is one of the last great deals :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16828102254
Free shipping at the moment.
It is a multi-function and can also be re-programmed to direct-print on CD's/DVD's

Newegg is a trusted seller and the MP610 is a highly rated machine....you really can't go wrong here.

Used iP4000 printers are still available on eBay. You can probably find them locally at garage sales or at thrift shops.
