I'm wondering whether any of the 3rd party pigment inks for the R2000 produce good results on glossy paper.
I've so far tried OCP and Image Specialists, and both give terrible results on glossy paper.

Maybe others using ink from other manufacturers care to share their experience?

I'm also wondering whether using the 7 colors of OCP or IS inkset but with a Gloss Optimiser of a different manufacturer would improve their performance.

All of them! LOL
Forget that and order OEM carts from many EBAY sellers from $16 for a full set and up! If you are in Europe that might not workout though.
How are you getting OCP complete R2000 inks? In the USA ( rjettek ) They only have a partial ink set for the R1800 R800 so I just get that minus the blue and GO because they do not have it available. Before discovering the EBAY R2000 OEM cart bounty, I was using either IS and or a Hybrid of 6 OCP plus IS Orange and GO, or OEM GO carts. Still not as good as 100% OEM though.

I have recieved a sample of CONE Gloss Optimizer ( Very Expensive $56 for 110ml ) which I am going to test. This GO is used in the professional print industry as a secondary pass for Piezography all Black ink systems to eliminate gloss differential. I almost hope this GO does not come up to OEM GO due to the high cost. If it does works, I will want it, and that would not be good for my wallet.

Well, using OEM gives the best results of course, but still, $16 upwards, plus the shipping and import cost to Europe, where I live, is not as cost effective as OCP for instance.

I get OCP from Promax Imaging in the UK, and they have the full set in stock. You'll have to email them to order and they also only accept money transfer as the payment method, no online ordering system available.
You can also get them from this place:

Since you can get the 6 from the US, you could just order the remaining 2 from the link above, OCP inks are very cheap to begin with, so even with the import cost added, they should still be a cheaper option to any other respectable 3rd party ink I'm aware of...
