High guys, just wondering your thoughts on which inks are the best for refilling in the UK.
Ive previously refilled a Canon IP4700 and another IP4850 with inks from Octoink.
My latest 4850 is now having the same problem as the ones previous...

The problem being that the Magenta seems to seriously clog my print heads up. The print qualities are very close to Canons own, but I have bought different batches of ink from Octoink and each seems to do the same to my print heads :(.

Ive also done various print head cleaning techniques which ive read on this site over a couple of years.

So back to the question, best inks... anyone?

Sorry to hear youre having problems with you magenta ink on both of your printers,
I use the very same ink as you do in four of my mine and have had no problems with it.

You could email Octoink with your ink problem and ask for some advice as to what maybe causing you it.

The only other ink you could use would be OCP inks from Germany, alternatively you could try ink from cityinkexpress.co.uk
it may work better for you but they do sell the same I.S. inks as OctoInkjet..

Just to note, I'm writing directly to you Matt to see if we can get to the bottom of why you're experiencing problems...

Hi guys this is just an update really, and hope it could help someone with a similar problem in some way, shape or form.

Martin (Websnail) emailed me regarding my issue with my Magenta ink, requesting a few answers to some questions to help narrow down possible reasons for my problem.

We narrowed it down to a few possibilities;
1) As I refill the German way the needle entry hole could have been slightly too large allowing ink to dry a little faster causing blockages.
2) The Magenta ink could be from a bad batch.
3) Store the inks in a cool dark cupboard.

I have decided to give the top refill method a go to stop any future/possible clogging near the exit hole.

Anyway it was months ago since I bought my inks and the communication / after sales service Websnail has given me has been top notch (sent me another bottle of ink :D) and very unexpected.

This in turn has guarrenteed he will receive another order from me sometime soon.

Thanks again Martin!
