To those who question my printhead clogging with MIS ink, I am not the only one. Granddad will not use MIS because he has had the same problem.
As for which is the problem color, it is actually the CYAN and sometimes MAGENTA.
The BCI3e BLACK is no problem. I believe that the IP5000 uses 1-peticolor only for the BCI-6 nozzles and not the BCI-3e, I may be mistaking, but that is the way I think it works.
As for those who have had a good result with MIS, I guess why not use it, it as one of the greatest color balance of all inks.
I for one have had nothing but problems with it, therefore I will not use it.
I print about one thousand pages per month, sometimes much more, I believe that would give me a little qualification on what ink causes the greatest problem.
Also with the exception of hobbycolor and G&G, I have tried just about every ink on the market.
We should also keep in mind that all inks are not perfect for everyone or very print-job.
For example I find that one ink may give better results then another, depending on the paper and printer setting that I use. So my preference may by different than others and with good reasons. When I print panoramas I dont want natural colors, I want enriched and well saturated colors. However, if I print a photo of a stamp or a coin, I want the natural and unaltered color.
I am only warning on MIS because I was able to repeat the problem on 5 different IP5000s, and the I have had the least problems with FORMULABS, but I will admit, that I like the color balance of MIS or IMAGE SPECIALIST better.
