Your best bet would be to try and find an Image Specialist ink reseller, Mikling here is one of them I ordered mine from MIS.

inksupply.com is rather ovepriced (50 % or more more expensive compared to www.precisioncolors.com). Why pay more for the same ink ? Both are Image Specialistst inks. Inksupply.com should alter its rather old-fashioned business model and should sigificantly drop their prices.

I used MIS ink (presumed to be Image Specialist) for years before Precision Colors opened for business. Now using the same ink from Precision Colors with the same excellent results, equally good service, and much better price. Question is, however, if you are planning to sell liter bottles, why would you purchase from a reseller who is in the same business of purchasing bulk quantities and breaking them down to smaller containers for resale??? I guess you might be able to work out a deal with Precision Colors to buy in containers larger than a liter and break them down yourself, or purchase large quantities of liter bottles to resell yourself. ????

I print a lot and after comparing prices between MIS and Precision Colors it's about the same when you get into pint sizes. Precision colors does not list pints so if you multiply the price of 4 ounce bottles times 4 it ends up being about the same price. I buy mine in pint sizes for each color.

Most refillers like me do not buy so much ink at a time and a pint is a lot of ink. I onced look for the IM K4 inkset and Mike sells them for $99.95 for 9 x 4 oz and MIS for about $168 for the same amount. So for the sake of market differientation precisioncolors is for the average refillers and MIS for the heavy users, but maybe you should buy them directly from Image Specialists instead, if you are using so much ink.

Precision shows pint, quart, and gallon sizes on their web site. From what I read, you need to contact them directly to order these sizes.

Fotofreek,

why not give it a try ? It might be cheaper for you. However you must order a minimum amount at a time (you will be considered as a reseller).

pharmacist - I was just answering Quertydude's comment that Precision didn't show these larger quantities for sale. I refill for my own use and, depending on my printing demands, buy either two or four ounce containers. In years when we travel extensively my wife and I come home with anywhere from 600 to 1000 images. Of course, I don't print all of them, but my printing load is pretty heavy after these trips. I try to keep no more ink on hand than I would use between one and two years.

I've never inquired at Precision about these quantities, but I would imagine that one could buy as little as one container of ink whether it is a pint, quart, or gallon. If one were to buy directly from Image Specialists (if they would sell directly!) there is no indication on their web site as to minimum quantities or prices. Since my usage is not sufficient to purchase gallons at a time, I'll stick with Precision as they have the IS inks, the service is excellent, and the price is right.

A point of interest - MIS NOW states on their web site that they are a seller of IS inks, but they don't identify any specific ink as IS. Precision is specific and notes, on each container, that the ink is IS.
