Banding/Different Nozzle Checks

Hey Guys,

So I've done a few searches through the posts here and couldn't find anything before I decided to make this post. But I'm having some banding issues when trying to print my DVD inserts for my business. Here is an example of what it is doing:

When I print regular documents its fine. I've tried the head cleaning multiple times and after each one I do a nozzle check and they are different after every clean as shown in this example:

I've tried turning it off for 8+ hours and trying again but no luck. I've tried cleaning the pins below the ink cartridges but still no luck. I have this CISS installed with the ink storage containers placed higher than the ink cartridges.

I was thinking the only other thing to try next is to clean the print-head and I've found this one on Ebay but not sure on how effective it will be or if it's any good.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Make sure there is no air in the ink lines, re-prime the cartridges with syringe like you did when installing them. Then dump the extracted ink to the ink container. You will have zero ink waste this way. Make sure to close the ink tube valves when removing the carts from printer. Also use like 10cc syringe not less.

Thanks for helping me out Smile! But I have to be honest this is my first CISS and when I purchased it and followed the instructions and it never had me prime them so I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Also, I will say that I do see air in the ink lines sometimes, any way to get that out? As far as the syringe goes it came with this one:

and no extra attachments for it. In case you were wondering as well this is the top of the ink cartridges:

and the syringe I have does not fit in the little holes on the cartridges.

You need to suck the ink from cartridges, one by one to remove air.
The ink outlet port is on the bottom of the carts. You just have to find adapter if syringe does not fit.

Thank you so much! I had to do 15-20 head cleanings after I got done sucking some ink from each color but in the end everything is printing like it was!

This why I hate Epson, these "clogs" are air bubbles trapped in the printhead, when I had 2 Epson printers the most challenging "clog" was in the yellow pattern. Howerver, I noticed you have air in the tubings, you need to make sure there is only ink from the tanks throught the cartridges (solid color in the tubing), a very important step to get that is that you have to get some ink in the air tank located behind the ink tank. Then you can let rest the printer for 8 + hours, after that a deep clean might help to get things in order.
