It could mean "Service Manual", which I think is nowhere to be found, not even as a commercial download. No service manuals for Canon printers newer than the PGI-x25/CLI-x26 cartridge generation have been found on the web.

If @Bird333 had asked an SM for a Pro-1 instead of a MB5120, I'd guessed that he/she is looking for a sadomasochistic person more than willing to endure the refined tortures that this printer provides to the inexperienced user. :p

Yes SM means service manual. So there is no service manual to be had? Could I get one from Canon customer service?
