Any Experience Slicing 3D Prints on a Google Chromebook?

I've been staying at my GF's house more and thought I might take the opportunity to open up the Ender 3 I have sitting here and playing with it.

... but my Windows computer (where I slice with CURA) is at my house.

I've researched a few different options with running slicing programs on a Chromebook and/or using web-based slicers, but all of them seem pretty janky / unreliable or an overall pain to setup and use.

So, I was wondering if anybody here has tried out slicing 3D models with a Chromebook?

Sorry Nifty, I can't really help you. I had to browse 'Chromebook' to see what was that strange bird virtually living in the Cloud.
From what I've read on Wikipedia it seems that some Chromebooks can run Linux apps via a virtual machine called 'Crostini'. So, perhaps there's a way to use the Linux version of Cura?.

Take this post with ''lots of salt'. I know nothing about Chromebooks and very little about Linux.

Another option is simply to boot into Linux from a USB drive. Then install Cura or Prusaslicer.

Thanks guys! I wish it was just as easy as going to the Google Play store and loading up a slicing app on the chromebook.

I'll take a look at linux and see how complicated that all is to figure out.

LOL, in the requirements to install Linux with USB on Chromebook:

... and, I'm officially disqualified! LOL!

If your patience isn't made of hardened steel, another option is to purchase a Windows laptop....

I've had some success

Web Based Slicing:
https://grid.space/kiri/ (getting the printer settings correct was a bit of a pain)
https://www.astroprint.com/ (had default settings for my CR10. Great interface, but some limitations in free account... worst being you can't upload STLs directly... but you can through their connection to 3D slash)

Download the .gcode file to the chromebook.

Then I used the info in this video to connect my CR10 directly to my Chromebook:

I'm printing right now right from my Chromebook and seems to be working well!
