So I purchased a couple sets of their silicone plugs for Canon carts
to be used with my new PRO-100. They're actually different in shape
and/or size from the ones supplied with the PGI/CLI-225 carts in the
refill kit I purchased for my MG5320, but they are fine for the 100/CLI-42.

The amusement comes from the fact that they sent the little envelope,
valued at about 9 bucks US, as "adult signature required."

The kit for my 5320 was almost $100 and delivered without question
a long time before this, requiring no signature.
The inks for the new PRO-100 were also delivered without question,
in a larger package, also with no signature required.

The question now arises: Are these silicone plugs considered to be potential
drug paraphenalia or some other controlled item used by shady physicians,
while bottles of ink costing far more are benign?

I simply don't understand it, but I was ultimately amused by the fact that I had to
go to my local postal distribution center to sign for my measly $9 envelope
when the nearly-$100 ink sets/kits were delivered with no such fanfare.

Has anyone else experienced such an odd dichotomy of shipping practices
from the same vendor with such grossly-different costs of purchase?

There are very dodgy guys out there that will moan when they imagine the item/ink they have purchased is some how shady or wrong, they then scream blue murder, but most will say they never received it and want there money back, hence the signature...

It’s not the cost, more so the nuisance factor, and when they get away with it once, you know the rest, in my part of the world, we call that being a Cute Hoor..:duc
P.S. if your not happy with your current ink supplier then change. :(

The shipping software does not reset to a default after each print. I would suspect that the prior package needed a signature and after printing and then this one came up and the last option was retained. Lots of conspiracies , it's quite entertaining.
The biggest thing is that small items that used to fit in an envelope are being returned because the postal authorities will no longer accept that revenue leak and are demanding anything other than a piece of paper be sent as a package...which of course is more costly than a real letter or document.

In the USA,the Postal Service has an economical "First Class Package" rate for items (envelopes or small packages) less than 12 oz...

What business did you buy the silicone plugs from?
The post title says it all, sir. ;)

That's not my reason for posting; I'm perfectly happy with PC to date.

Now, this DOES make some sense.
I've no familiarity with such systems, but this seems quite logical.

I simply found the differences to be entertaining in a rather odd fashion. :hu
