Am I too late to find a resettable/refillable Canon printer? MFP?

It doesn't have to be a Canon, but I thought 1pl printing was necessary for photo prints. To be honest, I haven't ever printed photos on an inkjet made in the last 15 years. Work stuff is on a huge laser printer and my current home one is an ancient Epson Stylus.

If 2pl produces acceptable photos, then that gives me a far greater choice of Canons. The Epson all-in-ones have 2.8pl and 3pl, as far as I can see so far, but the greater the possibilities the better.

@TheHat - I had a sneaking suspicion that the savings from refilling weren't that great, unless you printed in bulk, but I hoped they were. My Epson Stylus refills must work out at 5 - 10pence/cents per cartridge.

@Ink stained Fingers - those new ones look good, but I need one for Christmas, unfortunately.

I only really need a scanner and to print a few photos every month (1pl quality preferably), but an LCD, wi-fi and duplex would be good. I seem to be limited to just 4, all at the same price of £100 - Pixma MG7750 (570/571 cartridges), MG7550 (550/551), MX925 and MX725.

I've been counting down in 100s, from the current model nos., to try and locate some models with 525/526 or 520/521, but no luck so far. That MP810 sounds like it's from 2007-ish!

Another question, sorry: are the savings huge from refilling?

Attached a list with 525/526 printers.
These are not antiques, most have wifi, top models as the MG8250 a CCD scanner and cloud connexion.

Compared to Canon ink prices, you save 90% for dye ink (as yours) and 80% for pigment.
But if you only print 10 pages a month you never recover the investment (ink stock, resetter, ...).
I know people who are very happy with 3th party cartridges, and their printers survive this (IMO most printers are ruined by not using them, with or without genuine Canon ink).
