yup, 1 year warranty for new vs 90 days for refurbished.

i've had great success with canon refurbished printers. one MP830 lasted 3+ years and died after 22,000 pages. i swapped in a backup refurbished $99 MP830, moved over the print head and ink carts and was back printing in 5 min. would pay double that today to buy another refurbished MP830.

still refilling the original four CLI8's from nearly 4 years ago. each CLI8 has been refilled about 25 times, never flushed.
