50mm > 75mm roll adapters - Any idea where I can buy a couple?

It is possible that these little things have a special name and as I do not know it, my searches on Ebay and elsewhere are not getting me very far.

If someone knows what I should search for, please enlighten me!

The printer I have can handle either 50mm rolls or 75mm rolls - but as it was second hand, did not come with all "extras" - notable for their absence was the "adaptors / sleeves" which allow you to convert the 50mm paper holders on the paper holder to 75mm.

If anyone knows where I could find a pair of these (or even what their correct name is), then I will carry on hunting.

I had toyed with the idea of just "bodging it" using umteen layers of tape but that seemed crude even by more less than elegant standards

I heard that SOME paper suppliers even used to include disposable ones in the ends of their 75mm rolls - but alas none of the paper suppliers I know of do that awesome thing.

yes, some suppliers shipping paper on 3" rolls add an adapter to 2" with it, but I don't remember anymore how I got mine.
You just may create an intermediate fix - use a 2" core and add some layers of corrugated paper...

This is another case where a 3D printer comes in mighty handy, they would be a breeze to make.
Do you know anybody that has a 3D printer that could make them up for you...?

I reckoned on being able to make a "get it going" solution but just wondered if Bloggs Paper Products supplied them for a few £ in which case Happy Days.

The idea of 3D printing is also spot on - and I do know someone who has a printer - but I think his reply would be "Sure, send me the file and I will print a couple out". Alas I wouldn't have the first clue as to how to design one from scratch to produce the file he needs in order to print it out.

I might see if (very temporarily), I can just use short section of of 2" cardboard tube from empty rolls and plonk it inside the 3" rolls with hot melt glue.

@guymark, How does this sound, if you send me the dimensions of your paper core and what size you want the new inset to be, I will make it up for you, and send you the STL file, so your friend can print for you...

The size I HAVE at the moment is a 2 inch fitting on the spindle (until now all the rolls of paper I have bought have been 2 inch paper cores). the new paper rolls however are 3 inch cores.

So I need a "sleeve" with an internal size of 2 inches and an external size of 3 inches please.

I think that would be perfect as it should grip the cardboard tube well - yet be a slightly "easy" fit for the spindle mounted 2" fittings. My "3D friend" has already said he will be happy to print a couple for me - so as soon as the file is ready, that would be fantastic. Thank you very much indeed.
