Hi...

Just received MIS inks for my Canon ip8500. Just two questions...

1. Although I ordered Photo Magenta and Photo Cyan, I received Light Magenta and Light Cyan (CANS800-4-LC and -LM instead of -PC and -PM). Are they equivalent?

2. Long term storage...keep in a cool, dark place, refrigerated, or what?

Funny...two emails to support have yet to return an answer from InkSupply (2 days old, so I don't know if I'm just being impatient).

TIA...Eric

Quite often Photo and Light are interchanged . They are the same thing. .

If you live in the tropics you can keep it in the warmer part of the refrigerator. A basement is adequate as well if you find the above inconvenient. A wine cellar is good too.

Ejaf - I live in San Francisco, a city with a moderate climate with very few really hot days. The ink containers are kept on my desk at room temperature which ranges from 55 degrees at the coldest to around 68 degrees at the warmest except for about ten days of warm weather each year. I prefer to buy only two ounce containers at a time to keep the storage time fairly short - less than a year, and more like six months. If your printing volume is really large you might buy larger quantities at a time. Most vendors state that shelf life is two years. I've only had one occasion where one color got "clots" in it (cyan, as I recall) and I discarded one ounce or so. No big loss.
