I can take back just the cartridge ? Bought as a new printer with color and black supplied in box . From Future Shop in Canada , can you get that replaced you think ?

I changed settings to vivid , and noise reduction to " strong " in the software . Changed print settings to high quality and images are better but black problem persists . Any other changes i can make ? Thanks

Would that be a software option or right on the machine , the MX420 has the small led for preview and options.

I have a brand new Canon MX420 , the black has an almost "lint" covered look to it . No real vertical lines , patterns or anything , just not solid . Is it because its brand new , been doing many test prints black and white . Even "test patterns" off the web . Ran a couple of maintenance runs...
