The Pro100 is a fine printer. Especially if you have good profiles. Precision Colors has some new one that are great. However, I have about a dozen photos that I sell and I know them intimately. The Pro9000 II can achieve subtleties with its green and red inks that the Pro 100 cannot. I can...
I actually have Ubuntu and it the driver is pretty limited. It's nowhere near as sophisticated as Canon's driver for photo printing which is a pity.
It seems at one time Canon was interested in providing linux drivers. See this link. Why'd they change their mind?
Also from a Gutenprint...
Hi, my local camera shop had a close-out on sample packs of ilford inkjet paper. I bought a handful. One of the sheets looks very interesting: Smooth High Gloss Media 235gsm.
I think this paper was discontinued quite a while ago before my Pro9000II even existed. And I only have one sheet so I...
Thanks for your comments Mr. McAleavy. My workflow now is completely managed. I've been very busy lately and haven't had much time to experiment with my Pro-100. I did however print up Riwo.dot's Colortest II page using not Canon's Luster profile but Precision Color's profile instead. Someone...
Thanks fotofreek, I was able to score one package. It's a very bright paper. I had a color image and I toned it way down and it's still quite bright. Not unpleasant though. I bet I would really lend itself to black & white images.
Update. I bought a new printhead for my Pro9000II. Magenta problem solved.
I followed these three guides and now I get prints that are incredibly close to my display with my 9000II.

Hi, this monitor comes pre-calibrated to 99% AdobeRGB or 100% sRGB and it comes with it's own .icm file.
My friend moved to the east coast. He set up my machine with my previous monitor but it was so long ago I don't remember the exact settings he used to set the color space within Windows 7...
Okay, I got my Asus PA279Q and I'm a novice in setting up .icm's and what not. I put the monitor's AdobeRGB pre-calbrated .icm where I believe it should go and I made a test print of the Onsight Color Evaluation Image v2 on my Pro-100 and it came out very close. The soaps in the lower right hand...
Hi, I'm curious if you see any differences between the prints on your 9000 and pro100? I notice greens and reds are more prominent on my 9000. And a couple of my images the pro100 cannot duplicate what the 9000 outputs at all which is very disappointing. I've had the best luck with Canon's...
@Methodical
thanks, you must have read my mind. I am considering an IPS monitor. I'm leaning towards the Asus PA279Q. I do a tiny bit of non-FPS gaming (mostly xbox and steam) and I'm concerned about ghosting. I'm trying to read up on reviews where they specifically talk about gaming performance.
Hi, I could use a top fill green and red as I'm trying to resurrect my 9000II.
I'm in the USA though:

Thanks.
@FalconST and @Methodical
I appreciate you taking the time to read thru my posts and offer suggestions to my problem. I normally use Qimage and have all my various paper and size settings saved. I don't have any experience with Lightroom, only PS CS5/6 and Qimage.
@FalconST What do you think of...
Interesting twist. A friend came over with his Windows XP laptop which had never had any print drivers or photo software on it. We downloaded all the drivers and the trial of Qimage and printed up some of my shots. Wow, did they come out great! Extremely close to old reference prints I made on...
Thanks for the continued input guys.
Mr. Sletcher your advice about printing the test image and one of my images on the same sheet is a good one, I will try that.
