I think it's easy to find HOWTOs in the Google age. The question is whether it works, or has Epson made changes to block downgrades. Waiting to hear from OP.

Everything I've read about that series suggests it can't be downloaded. Well, you know, maybe by desoldering and replacing the ROM or something like that.

Or you could post them here and we could look at them. IIRC, there's no harm in installing a print driver for a printer you don't have. I'm not sure if it will confuse Windows or not, but I don't believe so.

I'm not sure. I would open each .inf file with a text editor, such as Wordpad, to check the contents. That should give you a hint.

Right-click on the .INF file. Click Install. Confirm, if prompted.

Google is your friend here. 7-Zip, WinZip, and other programs will open a Windows cabinet file. As for what features you'll get in the driver, there's no way to know other than trying.
