Hi, I learned from Beetlenut to use a pushpin to make the hole for the needle for the german refill method. I pushed to make the hole then as I withdrew the pushpin, rotate it in circles so that the opening is a bit bigger, but the inside of the hole fits snugly over the needle. This worked well.

P.S. On the issue of making a hole for purging (when needed), when one has been using the German Method, I was wondering if it made more sense to make the purge hole over the sponge chamger, instead of over the ink reservoir.... perhaps at the "Hole to nowhere?" Any ideas whether this would...
