Thanks for this post....I have been buying bulk inks from them for several years and always have been satisfied. I will contact their owner, Richard, to find out what is going on..This is sad to see....they must be having financial difficulties. Bummer.I have just written to the owner of...
:)Supposedly, this will be on the market late this year. The fastest, least expensive to operate, highest resolution/everyday inkjet printer yet.
Stay tuned....

You also can print on clear plastic labels, then trim them to fit later. I would think that balsa wood is just too flimsy to run through a printer with a moving printhead. You might want to check out printers with a fixed printhead, which will be the next great leap forward in inkjet printing...
One more thing, though...
Many Epson inks are pigmented inks, and are more permanent with less fading than Canons. While I prefer Canons in general, if you need more water resistance or colourfastness, then Epson's pigmented inks may be for you...
Is it worth all the hassle to do all this? If you like the printer, keep it! In my opinion, it is a very good printer, inexpensive to run, and 300 text pages is not very much. If you got it at a low price, so much the better. I would also concur with Stevec. See if the seller will send you some...
Good choice..the MX850 has turned out to be one of Canon's better recent printers, according to customer surveys. You were wise to buy one now, as they will soon be gone from the market.
If you plan on refilling, you WILL need a chip resetter but after some practice, you will find these very...
For your needs, the MX850 should be the printer for you. Get one before they are no longer available. The price is reasonable, and you should have an excellent printer at a good price. You won't regret it.
Hey, another person from B.C.!!
If that is so, that did not take long!!!
Any sign of a resetter yet? The carts are small, so it may be better to use the chipped G&G compatibles if they are priced low enough, rather than refilling.
Where did you see the link? My wholesaler has thechipped G&G...
Fotofreek is 100% correct. The Staple's Photo Supreme is superb heavyweight 2-sided, acid-free matte paper. It is really stiff and heavyweight, though..230g. they have a very similar paper called "brochure and flyer paper" which is just as good, but weighs 170g.
I have used both papers....both...
Sounds like what you purchased is a compatible, NOT a genuine Canon cartridge. As far as I know, Canon only makes the PGI-5 with clear plastic. There are other compatibles that are made of clear plastic, and most will be re-settable. A better solution might be to find some empty genuine Canon...
Dom, you do refilling, which is fine for you. The average person does not, however, and will be paying more for inkjet ownership than they previously did, so they will be making more trips to their local store to buy cartridges.
As a Canon printer seller who always looks at different wholesale...
Correct...it's the same in B.C where I live. I sell printers, and when I buy one wholesale, I have to pay an extra $8.00 ESABC recycling fee. What the gov't does with this cash, I'll never know. It's just another tax grab.
Afterwards, I just ran cold water from the tap onto the screens for a minute or 2. Then I held the printhead tightly and shook it a few times. Water does come out of the bottom, but most gets shaken out. I put the cartridges back in, ran a cleaning cycle and did a nozzle check. The BCI-3 blk...
Not only that, but if you do some research, you will see that the ip4600 has a higher decibel level, making the printer more noisy, and weighs less that the ip4500.
These are not huge things, but it is yet another example of how Canon's quality standards are dropping.
Maybe it's me, but I...
Not only that, but it seems like they will take back ALL old printers for recycling..that is certainly better than our throwing them out in the local garbage dump ...
I wish Staple's Canada would get into this as well....
Quite by accident, I have found a new way of unclogging 2 stubborn Canon printheads after trying every method mentioned here without success. Too bad I discovered this AFTER buying replacement printheads from Canon, one for an i-860, the other an ip3000.
I took one of the "dead" printheads from...
