I'm just about done with my cheap Pixma which uses the FINE system. I printed so much with this machine.
But there's still a set of CI-541 and PG-540 FINE carts in this machine. And have been refilling this same set for over 45 times now.
Now when I print a nozzlecheck. Faint white horizontal...
The baby in the second picture seems lighter and less "noisy" in the face. There seems to be a bit more saturation too for the other pictures in the picture.
I'm currently looking for a spare head for a canon pixma printer. The printhead model is qy60083. I see a lot of these on Aliexpress.
Are these all refurbished or something?
Where can I souce a good one?
The images I print come mainly from Dreamstime and Shutterstock.
I reduce the colorbalance of reds and add a bit of blue. Then set the highlights to 245 and the midtone levels to 1.22. This comes real close to the original. I just find it odd color printing is so darn difficult. No wonder ain't...
I saw the X-Rite Studio product that can profile your printer using a spectrocolorimeter is very costly. Printing is just a hobby and I give my hobbies a budget. Is there any way I could profile my printer in some other way without the need for a spectrocolorimeter?

And I like to understand why my colorprints (without any pre-manipulation in photoshop) are always 1-2 stops darker on (fglossy) paper.
Yes I do select glossy paper in the printer dialog. And even using canon brand glossy paper the results are the same...
