    Epson 255gsm Premium Glossy Paper

Hey guys - I've been using "Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper" 255gsm in 4x6 size. Has anyone else had experience with this particular paper as I find it takes rather a long time to dry - about an hour before the black is true black rather than deep blue. Is this normal? Also, what settings do...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

very odd indeed - do you know what 66lb is in its gsm equivilent? Everyone seems to rate Red River paper quite highly, its not a brand i've ever heard of in the UK..... Regs, D

    Anybody try "spongeless carts" ???

All the single tank epsons are Spongeless originally so one would like to think they would work fine! Canon ones as we all know have a sponge in, i may be wrong but i think mainly to regulate the flow of ink. Perhaps the Epson printhead works differently? Regs, D

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Another thought - try turning the paper over so the roller can grip the rougher edge, if it works then the roller could have worn smooth or got something on it? Or maybe gone hard through lack of use? Regs, D

Compatibles available on eBay now for the new Canon CLI-8 cartridges.

Websnail, I totally agree with you - As a Canon reseller my main sales pitch was "so much cheaper to run that all its competitors" now i have nothing. Print resolution is the same as is print speed - Canon have given me no merrits to sell these printers on. Their cartridges are also more...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

OK, all i can think is that for some reason the printer is being too forcefull when its trying to load the paper hence the causing it to bounce up. I cant really thing of a way to stop the paper from bouncing. Have you tried with about 5 sheets of photopaper in there ontop of about 50 sheets of...

i960 print head error after cleaning

Hmmm, i've never taken a printhead apart, I would have thought its dead now to be honest. Although it might be worth just taking it apart again and making 100% sure everything looks as it should, putting it all back together again and crossing your fingers. Could any connections have gotten wet...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Try softly resting your hand on the top of the paper, see if it will feed then. just trying to narrow it down to a specific component....... Regs, D

Canon waste ink message ip 2000

I think some Epsons have a similar system - just out of interest have you had to run many print head cleans? I'm supprised the waste tank has filled up so quickly. I'm a Canon reseller in the UK and have never actually had a machine back to me with this fault. When you cleaned the waste pad...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Damn, ok, its a very strange one, i cant see why it would work sometimes and not others. It cant be that something has worn out if its had little use. Keep an eye on the paper, does it bounce upwards when it tries to feed it? How many sheets do u have in the feeder when your trying to print...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

I print on Canon's Photo Paper Pluss Glossy that is 270gsm without a problem on my Pixma MP760. I have also printed on 300gsm card, to do this I had to change the "prevent print head abrasion" check box in the driver setting (last page). Canon are very versatile printers - the 270 goes through...

Where to find Priming Tools for HP in Australia or within reason.

How did u fill the 15? did you peirce the cart at the bottom? If so in my exp this tends to nacker the cartridge. The only way i would suggest is the back through the printhead - this also removes any crap from the head. Regs, D

    Canon BC-02 Filling

Big hole?? Are you thinking of a bci21/24? BC01/2 carts = you will see a small round plug on one of the shorter sides, this will pull out very easily if you have a small screw to hand just to get a grip (it has a small hole to get hold of) i think they take between 15 and 20ml depending on the...
