    Time to GROW-UP - 3D Modeling Software

Like most, I started with Tinkercad and then Fusion 360. I still use Tinkercad for really simple stuff. I also tried FreeCAD and really wanted to like it... I really tried to like it, but it is just sooooo far from Fusion 360, I gave up.

Canon PRO-100 or PRO-100s Waste Ink Pads full?

Umm... well this is embarrassing. I guess I didn't search well enough!!! https://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/canon-pro-100-cabinet-removal-procedure.14918/#post-129909cai Turns out, yes... its that easy. :)

Canon PRO-100 or PRO-100s Waste Ink Pads full?

What am I missing? This is a PRO-100 with the covers removed, and insanely easy access to the purge tube manifold. Only needed a spudger to get here, no screws. I expected a nightmare of a disassembly and it isn't, which is making me question my findings. These two clear hoses are coming from...

Canon PRO-100 or PRO-100s Waste Ink Pads full?

I'd also like to report that Service Tool v5204 DOES reset absorber counter on a PRO-10. Getting into Service Mode is tricky, but once you read the instructions carefully, it is easy. With the printer turned off, press and hold the Stop/Reset button on the printer and then press and hold the...

Bed Adhesion: PLA on heated glass bed

Yes, all you say is quite true, plus I will add that the first layer settings play a huge role as well. Even the object being printed, and the orientation of the object, can affect the total surface area of the first layer and in turn the success of the subsequent layers.

Bed Adhesion: PLA on heated glass bed

I was about to resurrect an old thread on bed adhesion and thought it might be even more beneficial to have a thread for different materials and surfaces. Here's my experience with PLA on an Ender 3 /w heated glass bed. Maybe I'll start a trend? Isopropyl Alcohol pads: not good I started with a...

Forum danger / New Ender 3

This forum is dangerous, as it has twice now 'made' me buy things. First, I started with an R2000 and now I have more printers than I care to admit in public. Then, I start reading about 3D printing and how people are making custom toilet paper holders... how can one hold back from making your...

Question about interaction with clients buying vector maps

Just to clarify, "For printing SMALL format", means it is NOT meant to be printed large, and is instead meant to printed small? How small? How large? I would recommend something like, "This map will look best larger than X by Y or there is a risk some labels may be too small to read. You can...

Canon Pro 10 prints darker at the beginning of the image and gradually becomes brighter

I may have a similar issue, with a PRO-100, on the magenta color. Cut to the chase, I was able to narrow it down to the magenta cart, because the symptoms occurred on a second PRO-100 using the same cart. I am refilling. My symptoms were slightly reddish/pinkish photos at the start, that...

Epson R2000 resetter for R2000 refillables

First, Happy New Year everyone! Second, I'd like to report this little experiment: WORKS! I've successfully minimized the domino effect from 8 down to a very manageable 2, and while one does have to wait for either bank to go empty, its a relatively cheap option compared to the decoder...

Epson R2000 resetter for R2000 refillables

I do understand what you're saying, @mikling. However, I'd like to mount the CISS set OUTSIDE the printer. My initial plan was to purchase another CSIC board... ...then disconnect the CSIC board ribbon cable (at the printhead) and route it OUTSIDE the printer. I connect the cable to the 'new'...

Epson R2000 resetter for R2000 refillables

Thank you for your input, @mikling. I missed out on the battery ones and have fewer choices today. Your comments made me look into how the decoder boards attach to the printer's CSIC board. This decoder isn't cheap, but it does allow resetting all 8 channels at once at any time. I am...

Epson R2000 resetter for R2000 refillables

I keep forgetting to post a follow-up to this... DO NOT BUY THEM! :barnie While they look identical to Joe's, they do not allow resetting at will. Only when they reach empty. Big bummer... I also tried a resetter, and while it does go from red blink to solid green, the chip does NOT reset...
