pharmacist, I think that's probably right, otherwise why wouldn't they just dispense with this
sensor altogether. I'd like to be able to scope out the real relationship between these factors
but don't know if I'll have the time. Possibly.
One thing I do notice though is that there are some...
Thanks, guys. I thought so but looked for confirmation. While working on these things I began
wondering about that and spotted this little strip with two dots. That had to be it but with all
the masters around here it still made sense to ask. I'll read the referred topic too.
stratman,
I still doubt that the chips are defective. I admit the possibility but I have not heard any solid reasoning
why that should be so. I was around the electronics industry for over fifty years and can't count the
number of times I have repaired equipment that no-one else could or that...
How do I find the original Sudhaus resetter? Before purchasing the one I have I spent a couple of hours
looking around, through this forum and by general searching to find out what resetter may be available
and what distinction there is between them.
I found several, none of which mentioned...
I deliberately avoided giving the name of the dealer since I feel it is irrelevant. The resetter appears to be the same
one you would get anywhere as long as you want the "red" or "blue" one. There are larger ones also available with
no certainty that they would be any better. I have no doubt...
Thanks, pharmacist. Good info and I'm tending to agree with your judgment. Still not clear on the difference between
the 364 XL and the 564 XL but since I notice you are in Belgium that may indeed say it all. The only solid reference
I can find here (US) is to the 564.
I'm assuming that no real...
Well anyway, at least this one did!
In addition to the ip3000 that I've been working on I have an ip4200 that is about four years old.
It's been in storage most of that time with no special measures taken to preserve it. Prior to
putting it away, it just quit. All the warnings had been...
Thanks, pharmacist. I've already seen your PGI-520/CLI-521 procedure and appreciate your contribution. I wish I were
in a position to contribute as much. I started refilling probably six or seven years ago with really no information
available except the most rudimentary kind. Once I got a...
Does anyone have an opinion on these cartridges.
Especially with respect to refilling. is it easily done?
What is the original (ml) volume of the ink content.
Of course HP very cagily omits this from their "technical"
information.
Also, I don't understand the numbering. HP websites
again are...
Thank you, ghwellsjr. I appreciate that information. As yet, I haven't looked again so I don't really get how the
apparent attachment to a "lever" constitutes a peristaltic pump. However, I believe you and will have to scope
it out. It's not easy to see in there.

Strange though, I can't find any purge lines. Also, the pads were definitely not full. The two long ones on top were almost dry and the...
OK, got the sides off and the top off.

In a separate topic I've had some suggestions on what to look for in my ip3000
However, I don't know how to open it.
There appears to be an overall shroud with some clips around the bottom but
I've not uncovered the "secret" order.
If any of you has the experience, I'd appreciate some tips so I...
Alright then, how do you open an ip3000. I'm sure I could scope it out but with so many here who
seem to have done it already, I'm hoping one of you will know the tricks.
Thanks
I've looked at those "grommets" and none appears to be damaged. I can look again with a magnifier and since it is only
magenta that is affected, a comparison with the other ones would reveal any possible damage.
Haven't looked at the purge pad and I suppose I should.
Your last suggestion rings...
Well, after looking around the forum, I've found that they may not be so strange after all. But anyway, here they are:
1) Took the print head out and washed it in tap water, trying to get as much old ink out as possible.
2) Subjected the print head to a treatment with an "ultrasonic cleaner"...
I have an ip3000 that has given great service. I've been refilling cartridges for nearly five years
with little trouble. I've used inks from atlascopy.com and have bought only two cartridges in
that whole time. Some of you may have quibbles about that but it was before I discovered
this forum...
