I just printed some A3 drawing with plenty of small details and I was not happy with the results. Red colour was not sharp for some reason. Is there a test image available for printing for resolution test? That style, but with colours:
Delamination?
Edit: Most likely the new blue-tray cartridges are to blame. I did full swap to the old ones and the problem seems to be gone.... I wasted ton of paper & ink :-/ New, but broken parts are always the worst nightmare..
I have problem with ink dripping from unparked print head - what might be the reason?
What I did:
1. Switched on the printer
2. Lifted the tray for printing cd/thick paper
3. Switched off the printer
4. Switched on the printer
2. Pulled the cable when the head moved to the middle
3. Took the...
My printer decided that there is no tomorrow.
"The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support.:
I hope I can make WIC reset running on linux...
Edit: WIC reset + alien (I use rpm based system) did the job.
Edit2: for fedora linux users:

Switched to the famous pharmcist' mixture, but so far the clogs are winning. Patience, patience... All cartridges loaded with the solvent, driver set to flood the paper and printing away like there is no tomorrow. Soaking over night didn't help, but I'll repeat that.
If it cleans the print head as expected I'll be ready to send you a good quality bottle of local solvent :)
I did some serious cleaning yesterday (sponges, rest pad, printing with solvent instead of ink with driver set to use maximum amount of "ink") Then I left it over night with rest pad...
I just mixed 500 ml of the famous pharmacist's cleaner. Now important question: is there an official sticker label template with name, copyright & ingredients? ;-)
Thanks for the suggestion to check the manual! Holding the paper (pushing it it gently) was the missing piece of information. Also I didn't know to use the roll button when operating manual feed. From the manual:
"Slide the paper in until it stops and keep it lightly held in this position for...
I had never used manual feed tray. I decided recently to try it for lustre paper and sometimes it works fine, most of the time throws "paper jam" message or sometimes I load paper it pull it in and pushes it out through the printer immediately. I guess some sensor is dirty? Also when printer is...
For future reference: the problem was related to gimp colour profile conversion from Adobe RGB 1998 to GIMP built-in sRGB, not to cups/gutenprint/colour model/dithering method/colour correction.
P.S. Please do not assess the quality of the print. I'm waiting for propylene glycol :)
No need to jump, there is a bridge between, so you can gracefully walk back and forth. Hey, it's open source, we're not competing!

What might be causing this? Yellow got some darker shade, orange as well, magenta (2nd from the left) looks like it got some orange. I cleaned the "left sponge", the wiper blade and the print head with soaked sponge strip. Obviously I didn't clean something to the required level, but I'm waiting...
I just want to say that I know very little about colour management, but 3D design is way more than modelling a hobbit in blender 3D for home print. Industrial 3D modelling ranges from modelling small stuff where you need to know i.e. certain angle won't work when doing forms for plastic...
