    IP7250 startup cartridges

I'm thinking about getting a new IP7250 printer and using refillable carts. In the past when I've purchased a new Canon printer I've flogged the original carts on EBAY which subsidised the printer cost. However, I seem to remember reading somewhere on the forum, that the OEM carts which come...

    Is Cartridge Refilling Dying?

You will no doubt be regarded as a pacesetter in a few years time. Digital is great for ease of access but there is still something magical about holding a photo in your hand or perusing a photo album. Vinyl is making a comeback and I'm still hanging on to my turntable and amp. Everything...

Came across this linkl http://uk.alibaba.com/product/60080594526-Chip-Resetter-For-Canon-pgi-550.html I thought that resetting chips on these carts was a no no, or have I missed something. I know it's China but Alibaba, is the world’s largest online business-to-business trading platform for...

    Is Cartridge Refilling Dying?

I take your point but their is something magical about printing. Ever since my dot matrix I've loved the wonder of printing to paper. I hope you're right about a new company taking over from the established printer companies. The golden years were when printers didn't have chips. Then the...

    Is Cartridge Refilling Dying?

Interesting Guardian article showing how printer manufacturers are being hit by declining printer and compatible cartridge sales. The more that printer manufacturers try to recoup their printer losses by shrinking ink cartridges and high costs, the more the public turn to purchasing compatible...

Which latest printers have refillable carts?

Have been researching the latest Brother printers with the LC123 carts and from what I can gather the original carts seem like a pain to refill and of course you have to buy a chip resetter. There are refillable carts with no sponges, which seems a good change from my Canon printers. However...

Time for a rethink on the use of refillable compatible for Canon..

I suppose the problem is in sourcing some reliable refillable carts. My experience using these type of carts, with my MG6250, was ink flow. The carts didn't clog up the printhead but they couldn't deliver ink in sufficient flow for the printer. I took it to be a problem with the sponges...

Comparing Canon OEM ink with Fotorite ink and Image Specialists ink

Just came upon this thread and thought it might be of interest to members. http://alexeames.com/blog/tag/review/ I can't find any other thread on this but apologies if it has been posted already. I have no connection with either Fotorite or Octoinkjet but anything that prevents printer...

    Is Cartridge Refilling Dying?

Interested in your experience of Brother printers as they seem the only company not ripping us of with shrinking cartridges and refilling barriers. What are they like for auto-duplex printing? I love my old Canons for this.

Which latest printers have refillable carts?

My refilling expertise lies solely in the Canon printers area. However, reading various posts on this forum it would seem that it's not only Canon which is trying its hardest to prevent refilling. No doubt the fall in printer sales to the general public is fuelling this stance. There are...

    Is Cartridge Refilling Dying?

This forum has been brilliant for helping anyone who wanted to have a go at resisting manufacturers like Canon ripping us off with inflated cartridge prices. Canon first off all brought out chipped cartridges for the ip4200 and then introduced lower capacity cartridges after the ip4500 and...

Official Poll: Why Do You Refill?

Saving money is obviously the main motivation but getting one over on the printer manufacturers (In my case Canon) feels really good. Also, admittedly to a lesser degree, it doesn't feel right throwing away a cartridge just because the ink has run out.

    Gti Bulk Ink

Thanks for link. I agree about OCP ink. It's great for Canon printers too. It's the best value I've found. I get it here in the UK: http://www.promaximaging.com/ Unfortunately you have to order by telephone However, OCP have suppliers in several countries - http://www.ocp.de/ but don't know if...

Official Poll: How Do You Refill Your Inkjet Printer Cartridge?

German method for me with squeazy bottles from Octoinkjet. No more cleaning out syringes, needles, sealing holes etc. Used for Canon ip4200, ip4500, MP610 & MG6250

    Gti Bulk Ink

Thanks. Just one question. Like you I would recommend Octoinkjet.co.uk I think we are both on the same wavelength and like you I would recommend octoinkjet.co.uk SquEasyFill is a fantastic way to refill Canon cartridges and he also sells good quality ink. However, I wonder why you recommend...

    Gti Bulk Ink

It is good that you often point out the perils of using poor quality inks and I would never accuse you of being ignorant on this subject. However my criticism was based surely on your opinion of GTI inks, which I assumed (rightly I hope) that you had never tried. The site which sells this ink...
