I don’t have enough data to say this. But a measured difference of deltaE2000 of 1 is not significant in my eyes.
But I checked my figures again and must correct the Epson Paper used on the Pro-100. It was Epson Ultra Glossy. But there was also a stripe with Canon Platinum PT-101 in the test...
Made a test myself with Pro-100s (Chromalife 100+) and XP-55 (Claria HD). Stripes with 60 patches were exposed to daylight on a east facing window for 6 month (June to December last year). The used paper für both printers was Epson Epson Premium Glossy. Average DeltaE2000 after this time...
Old family photos of my grandparents already reached over 100 years and they are still good. But 50 years old pictures of my childhood are already vanishing. No negatives available, so I have to restore them. Even now with digital data it is not easy to read old tapes or CDROM, remember Kodak...
You have to be patient. It can take a few days to clean severe clogged nozzles. It took me two weeks to bring an old printhead of a IP4200 back to life. I used the cleaning solution from the forum. Changed it every two days. After a few cleaning cycles all colors are back with starting from a...
I have a XP-7100. It is a good photo printer with four photoinks. But with expensive OEM inks. I use the bottled inks for ET-77xx in refill cartridges. This works really good with great results and the price is ok.
In Germany it was the same for ordering from US. But it is much cheaper if i collected the items by myself at the customs. Otherwise you also pay or the service DHL provides you. So check, whether you can fetch theatricals by yourself.
Try the following:
turn off the printer
open the printer as if you will be inserting ink cartridges
turn on printer
when the printhead starts to move, close the printer
the printer should make a self check for 3 to 4 minutes and when it was done it may be ready to print.
Good luck,
Maximilian
I would strictly recommend only to use OEM cartridges for refilling. The design of the sponge with two different ones is special for CLI-42. I had no problems refilling OEM. You only have to clean them before especially the yellow one. Watch the videos from JToolman on YouTube and you know...
I am on refill with a XP-7100 with these inks and have no problems over weeks. If I want to print a photo I print a nozzle check. Here are all inks used and you can see wether there is a problem. Only had once a problem as far as I remember last summer after three or four weeks. One cleaning...
Is this phenomenon always in the same distance from the edge?
Can you here scratching of the printhead?
Open the cover of the printer during printing and watch when the effect occurs. Put a piece of paper in the little slot with the lever which detects the open cover.
Make sure that the paper...
„The optical sensor is an added step that requires two different materials to be bonded during the manufacturing process. Removing it eliminates cost“
There is no bonding. That is done during the molding process. No Additional steps. This is an half century old technic for injection molding...
1. Do you use OEM inks or third party? If you use third party check for ink by pressing and look for ink coming through the outlet.
2. Perform a strong cleaning per the menu and two normal ones. Then make a nozzle check. If you see some progress, do it again.
3. You can also unplug the printer...
Is it a RC paper or cast coated as the Sihl 280 quick dry? Makes a big difference for scratch resistance and pizza wheels with some printers.
Is there manufacturer given on thepackage?
My TS8150 is now with my daughter at her study location. But as far as I remember the Photoclub is more tending to violet. It has certainly a different color/hue. So as milking wrote, I also think that Canon engineers want to close some gabs in linearity in the midtones, which is better than to...
I try to translate: "Simple and easy: Fill cartridge(s) with ink, close venting hole, print till cartridge(se) is empty again, than take it out, refill again and start again with printing. The (Auto-)Reset-Chip makes sure, that the printer recognizes the cartridge after refilling. No chip...
Yes I have tested x80/x81 on a TS8150 and they work as described. I refilled them only once after the the initial fill. Bought them at Ali Express from China. Printing was ok and no problems. The printer is now out of house at my daughter, but she doesn't want to refill and uses third party...
They write it in their description:
"Diese Tintenpatronen sind mit (Auto) Reset Chips bestückt. Sie zeigen nur bei der ersten Verwendung den Füllstand der Patronen an. Danach werden sie vom Drucker als voll erkannt, zeigen den Füllstand aber nicht mehr an."
This means you can refill them, but...
