Update !!!! Had another look at the printhead and cartridges before sending it back and I noticed that the vent hole on the cyan still had a bit of clear polythene over it. I removed this and check all the other cartridges to make sure their vent holes were not blocked and yes !!!!!!! a perfect...

Here is the update on the printhead. I am sad to report that the Cyan showed a poor nozzle check and after cleaning, it improved but was not 100%.

Hi It looks like i need a new printhead for my Canon IP8750 Has anyone bought a new head from Ebay the prices are good and the company has 99% good feedback they are listing the heads as new and genuine.

Hi Hope someone can me with this problem. I have the IP8750 which i refill with octoinkjet ink the problem i have is that when i do a nozzle check there is no yellow. I have done two deep cleaning cycles but still nothing is showing up. There is ink in the cartridge. Help

@The Hat where did you manage to get that paper from it has never been on sale in Scotland. When I emailed them they said it may come but they could gaurantee it :(:(

I would like to thank ink stained fingers for all the effort he puts into these tests it's really invaluable for us who refill. I just hope that in time canon will produce a refill ink that is the same quality as their cartridges.

Hi Janis Octoinkjet are sell refilled canon original cartridges for the 9500 at £40 for a full set. If you are going to buy ink that would be a good option.

We pay for that too in a roundabout way by paying almost £6 a gallon for petrol !!!!:barnie:barnie

I might be making the assumption here but is @celo saying that kitchen foil is better at preventing fading than all the other options that have been tested. ??
