I see some model need reset by the WIC software, and some are very easy-going!
Anyway, Epson L series vs Epson+CISS, which one do you think is better? And is which case?
In my country, if people wanna use Epson + CISS they don't have the choice of newer model. They have to use quite old one...
I use hot glue gun to seal my hole. Just drill the hole small, just enough for the needle to easily come through. Hot glue works well for small (and dry!!) hole, big hole like the OEM one with the ball doesn't like hot glue!
Actually, refilling toner cartridges is generally much much more difficult than refilling an ink cartridge since the toner cartridges contain not only the toner but also a bunch of other machenics parts. You can consider an CISS with external ink tank for easy refilling and arc chip for auto...
Yes, I think.
Because you have left it dry for some day before refilling and of no tool to prime:
1. Purge the sponge: use the syringle and a small-G needle to push and pull distilled water/cleaning solution found on this forum (someone post the link please, I lost it somewhere...)/alcohol...
How could they "figure" that ink is deplet? What a "magic" (that "magic" earn $$$!!!)
Wow! I didn't think of that. Yes, yes. The only (+) of it is it doesn't use chip => no arc chip needed :D Maybe they overprice the printer in return of the chip removal.
Anyway, this is another real-life...
Basically if someone need to network a printer, it's better to buy a printer that's already has lan/wifi interface. It's just more stable than a separated piece of print server.
For large network, they dedicate a whole server to be a print server, along with network-ready laser printer...
HP is the printer branch that support the open source world the most. They have a project at: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html where they provide oem driver for linux. I see your printer being supported there.
I chose HP partly by mistake and mostly by its linux support!
Canon...
...I think about it, it's printhead, and refilling ink, and got it ready from second-to-second, 24/7 even when sleep.
...in the freetime I pick up the syringle and refill something.
...in the freetime I pick up the bottle of ink and just look at it.
...in the freetime I stare at my printer.
:D
In my country, these 2 printer are among the best sellers. They sell in pack: tx111 or tx220 + CISS + bonus 400ml Inktec ink. No warranty at all. Print quality, assume they sell the goos things: printer, printhead, ink, ciss... then very comparable to the oem ink.
PS: I know this after buying...
In my country, people don't have and can't buy/import those tool. Instead, for the first time refill where you have to let the oem ink out completely to avoid mixing with refill ink, we make sure to refill the sponge with all ink and not air by inserting the needle all the way down - but don't...
Hi all,
Has anyone used the Epson L series printer? This series of Epson printer is equipped with OEM CISS.
Those don't use chip and cartridges, they monitor ink by serial number and predition. Question: if we refill with non-oem ink and thus we don't get the serial number, anyone know a...
Yes, all could be the reason. However, you provided too little information for diagnosis.
Ink: you could have used the wrong or low quality ink.
Refill: you could have refilled too fast, overfilled, not insert the needle deep enough and created air gap.
Time: waiting too long after the...
Epson doesn't need to boil ink, just push it simply => Most ink can work as long as it satisfy the viscosity. Purification and pH have prolong the printhead.
Thermal printhead need to boil ink => ink need to have good exact boiling point, and more water in it => can't use any ink.
Am I wrong??
Nah! Don't apply anything than light pressure. Better using passive pressure or gravity. Pull or push, same I think.
Did someone say on the forum: "patience is the key"??
You might try to kick-start the printhead by dripping some ink to the ink outlet to fill it with ink instead of air, I think! That should be the job of the purge unit, actually.
Oh, just a little bit worry that the ink particle size if they're larger 13pl then they would clog or even toast my printhead.
Inkmate website doesn't release the particle size of their ink, unlike InkTec...
BTW, "just about anything" is a dangerous statement proved my me putting Epson ink in. :D
ok, will leave that to The Hat.
Back to the topic of this topic:
Canon and Epson both came up with their on "ePrint" version, but without the WebApp like ePrint and of course with different name. They are available on higher-end printers, unlike HP it's available to some lower-end printers as...
