I've had this discussion today with a frind of mine. He was absolutely conviced that by using non-OEM cartridges, he would void is warranty. I on the other hand am absolutely certain that even if the printer companies claim that the warranty is voided by using other inks than their own, they are...
10 cents for all inks and service repairs for an A3+ is pretty cheap! You don't want to know what the locals are asking here!
Let me give you an example:
Ricoh MPC 2000 color. They provide a refurbished machine 5 to 7 years old. They provide the inks and any repair service needed.
They charge...
I'm going to use only non-OEM on the mfp i'm going to buy. Inkjet or Laser, i'm not using OEM. Tomorrow i 'll go and see the oki MC series up close. Cheaper and with led technology sound like a good deal. I have to make a desicion this week...
Wow, thanks!
I've read the SM, but never thought that by repetitive image was meaning what i see. I'll check the paper thoroughly and see if there is something wrong with any of the above parts, or all of them! Lets hope for one or two damaged parts, and not all of them.
Any idea as to where to...
I enhanced it , and cropped it, so that you can see. Note that this is not what i see. I see grey fainted spots, like watermarks. In order to understand better what i see, remove the black spots, and think that the grey areas around them, cover all the page like waves.
That's what i thought too! But i did a check on both the printer and the toners, just in case.
Scan of problematic print...hmmm...
I have some cleaning pages that i took from the printer. Let me see if i can scan them . I'm afraid that in a scan the problem will not be visible. Just give me a...
Ok...i can't find anything that even resembles a corona wire!:idunno
Does anyone know specifically where is it located for the laserjet 1600?:hu
I clean it inside with a cloth, to remove toner residues. Should i do something more?
I've searched the service manual for the word "corona wire" (to see exactly were it is) and have not found it. Is it possible that it is described with another word?
If not, could you describe to me where i can find it?
Hey all,
Today i 've noticed that the prints on my 1600 come out a bit grey, on the white parts of the paper.
What i mean is: imagine a print that has some text and a smal picture. They pretty much cover about 20-25% of the paper surface. The remaining unprinted areas should have stayed white...
Hmm...that is an option i guess. Though 100-200K isn't much, i think that with the proper maintenance there won't be a problem. Now that you mention it, i think i saw a brochure that offers a signifficant discount if you buy 2 or more items of the same printer, and x476 is among the models...
That's why i ask about reliability. It is already in the market for over a year. Someone sould know by now.
As for the cartridges and the rise of prices from HP, i don't worry much. Already i've seen CISS systems, or refilled cartridges, and ways of refilling them at home.
I own myself a copier...
Thanks. I 've read most of the reviews on the internet and now i'm searching for owners opinions.
Any suggestions for another model of any brand that will meet my criteria? I don't care if it's laser or inkjet technology, as long as it meets my needs and has a low cost per page.
The key sentence here is "...within few minutes".
My opinion is NO.We can't trust them. If you want a refill within few minutes, just with a syringe and few ml of ink, better do it at home. When i go to a refill shop, i expect them to clean my cartridge from dried ink inside, to cetrifuge it...
Hello guys,
I'm in need of a good color MFP for heavy office use. We are talking around 100 color copies (from adf or glass) and 200 prints per day. I was thinking about some laser mfp's like oki MC562 or Lexmark CX310dn and then i stumbled upon x476dw. It's faster than the laser models...
I use compatibles for my laser printers, for years. In fact i think the only original cartridges i 've ever used, are the ones the printers came with (and then refilled them a few times before turning to compatibles). Both my HP 1020 and Laserjet 1600 work fine, since 2006-2007. Go fot it!
It's pretty simple, like the friends above described. I used to do it myself for my 1020, but now i just buy a compatible. Here in Greece the 2612A compatibles are pretty cheap. Almost as cheap as buying the powder.
Thanks for your answer Joe!
The Epson 3880 seems like a superb printer, but costs a bit much (here in Greece). Is around 1300 € (~1700 $). I was thinking of spending about half of that amount.
Printers are expensive here..:( (i googled epson 3880 prices in USA and found that can be bought from...
Hey guys, new member here from Greece. User of HP printers for years, now thinking to switch over to something better for photos and A3+ posters, and that's how i found you. Nice forum you got here!
Still searching for the best printer that meets my needs. It has to be cheap on ink, reliable...
