I think i'm close to a decision.
The best choice for me, after consideration would be L1800. It has both the ITS that i want for mass production, and 6 cartridge color set for better printing results. But costs a bit much. So i have to comprimise with something cheaper.
One the one hand there is...
Thanks!
I've had some experience with leaflets, and i know the papers that will work well with this kind of project. I just never tried a mass production, because all the printers i own, even with compatible inks, cost much. But i see now that the latest generation of printers for mass...
Hello everybody!
Lately i 've been flirting with the idea to print our advertising leaflets in house, rather than giving them out. I've compared costs and realised that with an Epson L series i'll save some money, but mostly:
-i can do changes on the leaflets any time i want, without having to...
Copyright laws are always an issue but i think does not apply to my case. The books i 'm talking about are almost 100 years old. I think books before 1930 or so, are public domain by now.
Seems nice, but i either should go all the way to build a proper DIY book scanner (something i'm not interest in doing) or abort the mission. I think the single camera with just a cut in half box, will not do the job.
Thanks for the tip though! I google diy book scanners and learned about...
I'm going forward with my oki then. It converts them to pdf directly to the usb stick. It's not the best solution, but pretty close one.
I wonder though, what's the fuss with the printers that have OCR, and advertise it, if it can be done with simple computer software.
Are all of you sure that...
Thank you for your answers!
Maybe i wasn't clear, but i don't want to run OCR through computer. What i want is the OCR to be installed in the printer in order to convert the scanned page to pdf (or some other form) without a computer, but just with a usb stick, to the printer. My Oki does that...
Hello everybody!
Quick question.
I have some old books that belonged to my grandfather and my father, and i want to digitize them before they get destroyed from time. My oki MC332 does a pretty good job, but because it's flatbed has limited scanning sizes, it leaves me with a black Γ frame and...
Thanks @The Hat,
Two things played a major role for my desicion.
The first was the 3 year warranty. I've included of course the 3 year warranty in my purchase.
The second is that there are a lot of ventors with compatible cartridges, with good rating, who also have available chips and toner...
I've made my desicion and chose the Oki MC332dn instead of the x476dw. First time with a non-HP machine after almost 20 years (an epson stylus 200). Feels almost like cheating.
I gave the purchase order today, so by Monday i hope it 'll be here. After a while i will write a small review.
Not dark. A bit darker than the OEM in the black and grey areas. But if they are identical it's OK.
Just tell me the brand of compatibles you use, so that i know for future reference.
As for the cost, i don't talk about dollars, but Euros.
2-2,5 eurocents is the minimum. Forget the 0.003 per...
OM2, for statistics sake, take a print of a photo with the OEM toners, and then the same photo with the compatible ones. I 'm curious if my findings apply on Dell as well. So far on HP and Samsung models, the darker compatibles are the rule.
This model is not officially imported here in Greece (comes only from independent vendors) , so i have no knowledge of it, but i can confirm that the cost per page (including the paper) is about 2-2,5 cents (not 5% coverage). Seems like a nice deal.
99 out of 100 times, the compatible ink...
Yeah, i know....but that's the problem though. I don't have enough feedback from other users to go and buy it. If it was a printer for the house or for mild work i wouldn't hesitate so much, but now...i don't know, i really don't know.
I have seen up close the OKI MC332. Pretty solid machine, seems like build to last! Nice quality prints too! Not top notch but for office use they are above average.
I' m now checking the prices for the toner powder, the chip and the drum. Of course only from respectable merchants. The...
Everything you leave out in the atmosphere is bound to be affected, one way or the other. For toners is the opposite of inkjet cartridges. They don't dry out, instead they absorb the moisture in the atmosphere and clog.
Although i'm pretty sure that everything is going to be ok with the 3rd...
