I just cleared coockies, history etc. Problem is still there. Even hovering over Alerts causes a logon window to pop up.
@Emulator, what do you mean with "cleared the site"?
I have this weird problem with IE10. Each time I select a new thread or want to create one, I get logged off. Basically, after each mouseclick on the forum I get logged off. I only have this with IE10 and only with this forum. I'm using chrome to post this message, because in IE10 it won't let...
@iP4XXX and PeterBJ, thank you for your replies. I have sent an email to the seller asking whether it's the mark I or the mark II.
It is indeed a dye ink printer, I missed that one when I studied the information.
One more thing, I checked the printer specs and compared it to my MG6150.
The...
I have a chance of picking up a canon pro 9000 for cheap. Cheap because the yellow and magenta are clogged asthe printer has not been used for some time.
I have two questions:
1. I want to test the printer before I buy to see how bad it is. There will be no PC available to control the...
Maybe this is already known, in which case I apologize for posting. If not, I just wanted to share...
I have owned an MG6150 for some time know; it was the successor of my MP640. Initially, I refilled the opaque CLI/PGI 525/526 cartridges using the German Durchstich method and a precision...
I've used both methods, German and topfill. My favorite is topfill for the following reasons:
- With the topfill method I can use Squeasyfill bottles and don't need syringes;
- I don't have to weigh opaque cartridges, I can use a toothpick as a dipstick;
- With the German method I find it hard...
The question is how much room they have to change the code.
On the web I found that the way to enter service mode is as follows:
====
1. With the power cord connected and the printer power turned off, while pressing the Resume / Cancel button, press and hold the ON button. (DO NOT release the...
Thank you for your reply, Peter. I contacted the former owner and they never removed the printhead from the printer. All they did was change cartridges (genuine canon only). The printer just stopped working suddenly.
Since they haven't used the printer for some time after it broke down and the...
Well, I'm not ready to give up yet :-)
What I would need right now is a discarded printhead. One that technically works but that for whatever reason (clogged up, missing lines, ...) can no longer be used to produce good images.
I could use it to test whether:
- the error message would...
After some more testing...
Peter send me the manual - thank you for that - and I tried to get the printer into servicemode.
Do I understand correctly that the Pro 9500 mark 1 cannot be operated from the service tool program? In the manual there's no reference to this program. Only button...
Thanks, Hat and PeterBJ.
Hat, you are correct. Orange and blue alternate for nine flashes, then stop a short moment and then the cycle repeats.
I will try if I can get it into service mode and play around with the servicetool a bit.
I will also contact the previous owner and ask what happened...
I had the opportunity to pick up a defective Pro 9500 mark 1 at a low price.
The defect is that the print head doesn't move when the printer is powered on. The head can be moved left and right by hand without resistance. It just doesn't respond the the printer being powered up or down.
When I...
Maybe a stupid question, but did you perform a cleaning cycle? And did the nozzle check output look exactly the same after the cycle?
If it's a clogged printhead some of the lines will reappear after the cleaning cycle.
Once you reset the chip, it will think the cartridge is full, even if it isn't, and will start counting from there. That's why it is advisable not to wait with refilling until the printer says the cartridge is empty. I always refill when there's one bar left in the ink level indicator. When one...
Works very well for me, especially with Websnails SquEasyFill bottles and lowered plugs. I used the German Durchstich method for a while but came back to top filling.
I removed part of the label on top of a cyan 521 cartridge. It looks like there's a hole underneat it (part of the air vent system?). Can I leave this uncovered or should I stick some tape over it again?
Sorry for the poor picture quality, but I think t shows what I mean.
Hi Charles, I almost follow the same procedure like you do. Only for drying, I use the paper towel method (search for it on this forum and it will pop up). You'll be amazed how much water still comes out a 'dry' cartridge in a day or 2 with the paper towel method.
p.s. the color profiles you...
