Yes, I saw magenta and cyan colored water when I started flushing the head. Yellow I'm not sure of, but that's a bit harder to see than the other two colors.
What puzzles me is that after the flush, two cleaning cycles and one deep cleaning cycle there's no trace of color whatsoever in the...
Thanks for the reply, Head. I'm pretty sure by now the YMCpB have free inkflow, as I was able to inject water thru the inlet hole and it came out on the other side (same as I unclogged my Pro9000: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48948862@N07/11034516526/).
Would it still be worthwile to soak it...
Today, I picked up an IP5000 really cheap, because only the pigmented black worked. Hoping for a clogged printhead I thoroughly cleaned the head with windex and lukewarm water. Unfortunaltely, no good result. Did a cleaning and a deap cleaning cycle. No result. The pigmented black nozzle check...
Peter, I'm a bit confused by your answer. New Canon cartridges are always completely sealed, including top vents. So why should we leave them open if we don't use them right away?
I've had a similar problem with my 9000. I am more of a brute force person. In this thread you can see how I unclogged the printhead with windex and tap water.

Just wanted to share. Maybe it's of use to someone.
I use a large syringe that exactly fits the top refill hole. I apply force and use lukewarm tap water (which is very pure in the Netherlands). After 5 to 6 flushes I usually get clear water thru the cartridge.
Not in the video: after...
Is it a problem when the sponge is not fully saturated all the way to the top? I always fill up (top filling method) by looking at the ink chamber. I don't check the sponge.
Although it's not an inkjet printer, I hope someone can help me out.
I recently came across my Canon Selphy CP400 printer and hooked it up to my Windows 7 PC. The PC doesn't recognize the device as a printer. I've been looking on the net for a Win7 driver but with no success.
If anyone can...
Thank you all for your valuable replies. It's all clear to me, now. I now have to find the paper I like and get icc profiles.
To start with, I have ordered 10 sheets of Canon PT-101 Pro Platinum A3 size and can hardly wait till they arrive.
I recently bought a used Pro 9000 Mk I. I won't be using it a lot, merely to print A3 format photos every now and then (say, once every couple of weeks).
What would be the best way to take care of this printer? I'm afraid the priinthead will get clogged if I don't use it regularly. Would it be...
Last week I picked up a Pro 9000 with clogged Y, M and C. Clogged as in: absolutely no sign of these colors on the nozzle check. The printer wasn't used for quite some time and all 3 clogged colors were aftermarket cartridges (which I threw out right away).
Soaking in Windex and running a...
