@Łukasz : Which are exactly the pins to check? With re. to your picture form another post
e.g for PGBK there are 2 pins in the top line (the black-taped ones, they should + if I understood correctly) and two in the bottom line (should be the -). Connecting one of the + pair with one of the -...
I just tried cleaning, first with a soft eraser then with isoproply alcohol but no results. I already noticed the cyan banding issues but it comes and go.
Before I start playing "il Piccolo Chimico" ( ) preparing the @pharmacist magic potion :D I need you expert advice to be shure we are going in the right direction.
I found the test print made when I started experiencing the PGBK printing issues, couple of months ago:
the missing text...
@The Hat : W5 is not the product, is the brand of the cleaning products made by Lidl. Could you please let us know the exact name of the product?
Is it the one in the picture below?
The quest has been completed!! 100 experience points gained :D (D&D style)
If this can help others fellow forumers, I found Isopropyl alcohol at an electronic parts retailer (around 12€ for 1l. ) and got glycerol (even if little bit "expensive", 2,80€ for 100 ml.)from a pharmacy.
@PeterBJ...
printing volume?
If low, ahem ..... I shouldn't say it here.....shhhh.... but you should go for a laser printer.. :D
At least you will avoid all issues related to clogged heads when you leave the printer unused for a long time. And can always refill the toner cartdrige to save money
My personal experience with Lidl gear is indeed pretty good. I will explain better: the overall quality is not top-level of course, I would say between medium and low, but is high if compared to selling price .
The price is the same as no-brand or "Chinese" stuff you usually find in...
I will try soaking the print head... and will try a lot of patience also.
How much should I let it soak? overnight? or more?
Regarding pressurized cleaning attempts through the pgbk ink inlet, is there a preferred direction (aspirate\blowing)?
Honestly, I never bought or saw it in the shops in my town. I found it on Internet of course, now I have just to find a "phisycal" shop where to buy.
Let's the quest begin :D
Lidl has shops in different EU countries and doesn't sells only food
Usually the Lidl-Branded gear is a bargain.
As an example, this week's gardening discounted offers in Italy: http://www.lidl.it/cps/rde/www_lidl_it/hs.xsl/offerte.htm?id=275
Enjoy! :D
Great! :clap
A little doubt about denatured alcohol: is it the "pink" once upon a time used to disinfect(it should 90%)? Or is it the white one used for liquors\food (should be 95%)?
Thank you for the patience :)
For first, thank you all for this very useful discussion.
I would like to try pharmacist's formula but I have some difficulties in finding Propylene Glycol and isopropyl alcohol, so I am looking for something similar to Windex in Italian shops.
I have found this product with the below...
Thanks a lot for the hint. I will look for the Ajax or the Lidl's W5, as suggested in that discussion.
If I find isopropyl alcohol I will try the @pharmacist formula
If it can help the bottom of the printing head is pretty dirty with black ink.
Test #2: (apply a Milliliter or two of Windex-like* (contains ammonia) to the parking pad with a syringe): PASSED
Test #3: (close cover , do regular cleaning on PGBK, etc.) PASSED.
BTW even if I cleaned the black...
white tissue test results.
It seems that my memory is faulty. After deep cleaning the PGBK no signs on the paper. It seems a clogged head issue. Will proceed with test 2 and 3
