Hi @PeterBJ
MG6350 seems to be one on the 1rst printer using x50/x51 cartridges.
I can read reviews of this printer in 2012.
I bought my MG5150 (using x25/x26) in the same year (2012).
That 's why, maybe, service tool v3400 could work with some first MG6350 printers (1rst firmware) ?
Because...
From my point of view, the main difficulty with this method could be to fill the cartridge with the correct amount of ink, compared to a brand new cartridge.
The 2nd difficulty can be when you want to flush and clean the cartridge, from time to time, to restore the sponges absortion capacity.
I wish I had better news, sorry . . .
I'm wondering also if "qq1285409208" hacked version is, in fact, a "demo" version and, if you want the full 4.905, you need to give money !?
Hi @PeterBJ
Thank you for all the explainations.
Service Tool v4905 seems to be protected and need a license key :
A kind of v4905 Service Tool seems to be hacked by "qq1285409208" but this service tool is not fully efficient as you could test it :
v4720 service tool is free to use and...

Canon users = stupid consumers ? Money pumps ? . . . saddening . . .
Hi @aaa,
Be careful, with some Canon MG printers, there is no gap, or few, above the cartridges, as you can see with my MG5150 printer.
So only low profil silicon plugs can be used !
Hi @Geoff69
Inktec are not German inks.
Inktec inks are made in Korea.
After issues with Sudhaus inks (blue cast) and Image Specialists inks from OctoInkjet (green cast) (see https://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/green-cast-on-photo-prints.11081/), I ordered in april this year Inktec inks...
You're right.
Using Sudhaus ink between 2012 and 2016 with my MG5150 (PGI525 / CLI526), I noticed that it was not possible to reach the nominal ink quantity (measured with a 0.1 g scale) as and when of the refillings.
Once flushed, I was able to put the correct amount of ink (full or new CLI-526...
The main disadvantage of "german method" is when you want to flush the cartridge with water, from time to time, to keep the internal sponge(s) in good condition, or if you want to remove completly the old ink to put a new one.
With the "top" method, it is very easy.
Moreover, you don't have to...
@The Hat,
I know that a resetter is available for 570/571.
My question is if a SETUP chip can be reset or not ?
What is a "SETUP" cartridge ?
Some people said that the setup cartridges are necessary for the first start of the printer ?
Why 4ml ?
The capacity of a regular cartrigde (not XL )...
@The Hat,
Hi,
Can you explain why you said that "its near next to impossible to refill theses cartridges" ?
Is it because it is not possible to reset the ship ?
A setup cartridge is the same that a low capacity cartridge (not XL)
This is a picture of a CLI-571 "SETUP" cartridge, containing...
That's what I do.
Sudhaus inks were recommended in France for Canon printer (cheap and good quality), but now, no one knows who manufactures these inks and if Sudhaus brand is just a "name" . . .
The issue is because of the Sudhaus magenta (on the left), which is not really magenta . . . (Octopus magenta on the right), both diluted in water in the same way :
