- vertical bars at GY are greenish, at R are reddish.
- C and M should be as saturated (at least) as LC and LM.
- and there is a wrong "step to darker" in B on the testprint page, don't know why..
I have no 9xxx canon, only smaller canon.. but there is something similar that happens to me...
Could you post a picture of the circuit board? I'm just curious, because we had opened some resetters and all had removable batteries:

BTW I once had an empty battery in a stereo...
If you are looking for cheaper UCK3 HD ink, why don't you take the original ink out of a bigger cart?
For example https://www.druckknopf24.de/epson-c13t824100.html?sPartner=geizhals (there may be smaller ones..?)
I don't like the switching either, but it seems a bit over rated.. You only have...
Just a side note: there is no need to print so many purging patterns - the nozzle check tells it all, and better. And the nozzle check has to be perfect, because any missing small step/line indicates a missing nozzle (for whatever reason) and this will result in (more or less) visible stripes...
25 days under the UV lamp, AldiSihl glossy paper.
Fotonic XG used in a ip4000 and in a ip4500
Amazon "patronenland" cheap compatible cartridges and canon BCI-1411 (LFP cartridges)
Different starting points, so only compare the actual fading difference of each pair, not the results of all...
Canon "bubble jet" print heads (also HP) use to wear out simply by the thermal inkjet printing process.
3rd party inks or cartridges may accelerate this, because very high temperatures at the nozzles do need a constant flow of the right sort of ink for cooling.
Canon heads are easy to renew...
"Stand alone printer operation" is what it says, but I guess it won't operate at all, as long as the print head is causing the error blinking.
So probably you neither can do the following:
"...Entering service mode:
- make sure the printer is turned off.
- press and hold the [resume] button...
I once peeled such a tape off completely, and the rubber valve became loose, fell off..
So I think this strong cellophane tape actually holds the valve in place, not only for shipping.
@Larryb
That's an interesting issue you are pointing out, because there are many possible ink flow problems with refillables - but I never heard of this cellophane thing. And I will certainly keep an eye on this, trim one set and see what happens.. or better to say what doesn't happen compared...
It is no chromalife ... but at least as good as some of the better 3rd party inks, regarding fading.

Just to add: here are some profound videos from @mikling about canon cartridges:

At the end of "essentials #1" he explains what I called "ridges" (from min 4:00 on)
Note that these ridges are exactly as high as the lower sponge, so that the...
Well it might be too much worry, but the air have to go through all of this: air maze - upper sponge - ridges below the upper sponge - finally through the gap into the reservoir.
So not only the vent should be free of ink, also the upper sponge and the ridges - what in fact is the case in your...
This cart looks to me as if only the lower sponge is really saturated, or "filled" with ink.
The upper is colored, but not "wet" from ink like the lower, exactly like it should be.
Only difference to a new one is the fact that the upper is colored all over, but that' might result from the...
I agree with pharmacist, because the upper sponge is for air exchange, it may not be filled up to the top. Therefor the upper is kind of water repellent while the lower is water absorbent.
To bring the ink level down you can simply blow into the top of the cart where the air vent is. Certainly...
First and most important, stripes or faint colors in prints and in the nozzle check means bad inkflow anywhere in the ink channel.
And the reasons could be many, clogging in the printhead - as well as bad ink flow from the cartridges itself or bad sealing of cartridge outlet to printhead...
Thanks for the link, I asked them for sensors already... only the shipping to europe would cost 60usd, more than my both HP's in all.
Besides they say, these documents are "..not a service manual for technical repair..."
- I think the firmware is written into the EEPROM, isn't it? And updating would mean "flashing" this "read only chip", I guess.. Well, updating I've tried already, ending wtih the message like "FW was latest already"... but I will try again.
Maybe I really need a service program. Or manual...
