Same.Same. :)
Vast majority of my prints I do are 3 hours or less (most are only an hour or less), and anything 10 hours or under, I'll just print during the day since I can keep an eye on it in my office.
If the situation arises where I have a print that is 10+ hours, I might do an overnight...
Are you sure they are bumble bees and not carpenter bees? From what I understand, bumble bees nest in the ground, and carpenter bees nest in holes (usually in wood).
We have problems with carpenter bees, and actually try to remove (kill) them from in and around our house.
While I appreciate and respect what works for others, this isn't one that I need to try (no related problems to fix) or would be one of the first to go to if I had problems.
... mostly because one of the problems I have had a few times is under-extrusion, and I'd worry this would exacerbate...
Prints look great!
Good job fixing your clog issue!
I think having my 0.6 has been helpful in not only making my prints faster, but also reducing clogs.
Ya, stuff like this is incredible!
Imagine 5 years from now when more competitors are doing similar stuff, bigger improvements, lower prices. We may be getting closer to a time where more non-tinkerers will be able to run a 3D printer without much hassle:
The way it uses Lidar / scanning to do a test print and evaluate extrusion, etc. is really incredible!
Ya, I'm very tempted, but two big things holding me back:
1) I do enjoy tinkering with my printer, and having a $250 unit that I'm not scared to break... makes that easier to do.
2) The Ender...
Valid points / questions! I like that it "just works" (out of the box), and works fast. Seems like it has all the "cool stuff" all built in, basically: a form of Klipper and octoprint like features + huge touch-screen + direct drive + easy bed-leveling, etc.)
Yup! That's the kind of stuff I...
The 3D space is buzzing right now over this new 3D printer: Bambu Lab X1
It's a kickstarter, so kinda risky... but seems a bit more legit than a lot of stuff on the platform.
I'm a big fan of this channel and have a lot of confidence in her review of the printer.
I'm terribly frugal, but this...
I have some SUPER old (like 5 years) ABS sitting in the original box / sealed bag. I haven't really found any reason to try it, and am a little scared to.
... but now that I have my Ender 3 V2 dialed-in with a capricorn bowden, I may give it a try someday if I need a really strong /...
Nothing yet. I'm tempted to try a custom phone case, but may be upgrading my phone and would rather wait until I decide which one to get and then print. :)
Oh, and related, I did an update here...
An update to the gasket I printed!
Seems like it's been working fine in my GF's sodastream.
Well, I found the original gasket and decided to replace the one I printed. Here's what it looks like (now) for comparison:
As you can see, the TPU one did compress and lost it's ability to...
Wow, that's a lot of work and changes. Good job!
(I still can't believe you're the same guy that once poo-poo'd the idea of 3D printing. Now you're a pro!)
Hey guys, let's keep the discussion supportive and respectful and not directed at each other. If you have an issue, please either ignore or take the discussion to a private conversation.
Wow, excellent design / prints. Great job @The Hat
I've got a bad habit of getting really junky / cheap filament. Most of the time it works ok, but a couple of times I've had stuff that just causes more problems than I should need to be dealing with.
I recently purchased some filament which...
WOW! That's incredible! Looks PERFECT!
Ironically, just last night I was thinking "I should try to print a phone case for my phone. It would be a cool conversation piece!"
... but it's a bit daunting considering how much bigger, longer, and more complicated it would be. Especially since I'm...
I was surprised how flexible the filament is that I got and thought it would get gummed-up in the extruder gears, but it seemed surprisingly fine.
Yup, I'm still a bit nervous to print anything with overhangs, lots of retractions, etc. etc. etc.
Ah, good to know! This is one that is...
