It always strikes me as inappropriate that when a new member appears their post labels them as
"Newbie to Printing".

This may be true, but in most cases they are not, just merely "Newbie to PrinterKnowledge".

Another one of my irritations is the PM system, “Conversations”...

Nice rose! Perhaps they could introduce ink cartridges filled with perfume or what have you, cooking smells for Stratman, fired off by an extra set of keys, that might sell more printers!

As I am not in the real world of Social Media, (TF) we should either call them PM’s or Conversations but not both, I suppose you can have a Conversation on some Media Apps, but our system is no more than an Email system, so is not a Conversation..

Maybe I’ve outlived my usefulness, but if I want a Conversation I’ll lift the Telephone..

“New Member” would work but it’s a non-starter with our Management, anyway we had that before it was changed to the now:- "Newbie to Printing"...
