WIN10 System Backup

I'd be interested to hear views and preferences for backing up WIN10 systems.

I am currently using a removable Samsung SS hard drive on USB and the WIN7 option.

What do others prefer and why?

Not sure why Macrum free version not in the list, except that it doesn't do incremental backups.

Of the Freebies I would consider either EaseUS Todo or AOMEI.

For free cloning I would consider either the Samsung app (because you have a Samsung SSD) or Macrum.

Be sure you can perform the backup AND restore OR cloning (especially cloning) operations over a USB connection. So, test first before relying on it. Often there is a free trial version available so you can test it out.

To facilitate the process, consider purchasing a docking station such as the Thermaltake BlacX in either eSATA or USB 3.0 (https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Hot-Swap-External-Docking-Compatible/dp/B01KMRPKOQ?th=1)

The WIN7 backup facility in WIN10 that I am using seems to work OK and has possible advantages over the WIN10 backup (see the Windows literature). In fact it seems you can use both at the same time???

I thought you wanted to use a different backup solution than Windows built in one. Plenty to appreciate Windows own baked in backup app.
