I am about to buy my first CISS here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...43311&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1762wt_1123
I am told by the seller, that I can buy both matte and photo pigment ink.
But I am a little confused about how the chip in the CISS cartridge 'knows' whether it is filled with matte or photo black.
I supposei it makes a difference, because in my software (Mac OS X), I can only choose the types of paper that fits the ink, e.g. I cannot choose 'Archival Matte' paper, if I have the 'Photo Blck' installed etc.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks!
