Hi,
can someone tell me what is causing the vertical lines you see on my test strip? I've tried cleaning the head several times, nothing seems to help.

I think this is more of a electrical problem rather then a clogging: as the ink sprayed from left to right this is not typical of a clogging problem. Your black looks very weird indeed. Did you try cleaning the gold contacts both on the printhead and the craddle where it sitting in ? You can use a pencil rubber to clean it.

bsegel, This is cause by the timing strip. Wipe your timing strip with a soft tissue to wipe away any grease stains that might have accidentally gotten onto the timing strip.
