Vague nozzle check print

When I execute a nozzle check on my Epson Pro 3880 it is printed very vague and as a consequente it is almost impossible to see possible nozzle problems.
Is there a way to get a normal clear print out?

does it get better after a cleaning cycle ?

Visibility of the lighter colors - specifically the yellow - gets much btter with a little UV penlight , something like this - just as an example. Look for 'UV lamp' or UV flashlight' at Amazon or other dealers

.. or print on coated paper, inkjet paper 100 - 120g, instead of plain paper..

I think a scanner might make the nozzle check more visible, by tweaking the scanner settings. I think increasing contrast and saturation and decreasing light will work.

I am out of town, so do not have access to my 3880, BUT....

I usually execute the Auto nozzle check from the printer LCD menu.

It produces a very clearly visible nozzle check image for all colours, and executes a clean of any clogged nozzles.

I only seem to have minor clog in CYAN if I haven`t used the printer for several weeks.
