i sent refilled OEM canon cartridges top filled cross country without any leaking issues, here are the specifics, 220/221 top filled using colored silicone plugs, orange wrap around clips, vent hole open, placed in a small tupperware container, this container was then placed in a nylon piece of luggage that was checked into the plane's unpressurized hold, the cartrides arrived fully intact no issues, also each cartridge was in it's own small ziplock baggie just incase there was any leakage. so i believe my earlier leakage was due to rubber plugs that were NOT placed in the factory hole for the ball but placed in a new hole made next to the factory hole. also an fyi the us postal service says that if changing atmospheric pressure is an issue, when mailing ask for ground only transport and that would prevent any air service it would only cause a longer delivery time.
